The Role

As a Scale Technician, your role is pivotal in ensuring the accurate measurement and functionality of industrial weighing equipment, contributing to our company's reputation for excellence and customer satisfaction. Your dedication to quality, technical proficiency, and commitment to teamwork make you an invaluable part of our team.
Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide installation, service, and calibration support on industrial weighing equipment.
  • Perform work involving the completion of appropriate service documents and test reports, reviewing the details with customers.
  • Work from established Manufacturer calibration procedures, accredited International standards, internal procedures and work instructions.
  • Perform programming on process control equipment and use communication interfaces and manufacturer’s utility software.
  • Maintain high aptitude of technical knowledge staying current with product knowledge and displaying expert troubleshooting skills.
  • Work with other departments and branches within the company to promote calibration services growth.
  • Log all customer complaints and initiate corrective actions as needed.
  • Maintain clear safety record.
  • Adhere to all company ISO complaint quality policies, procedures, and work instructions.
  • Any and all special projects assigned by Management.

The Person:

  • Minimum of (2) years’ experience, Class B CDL or the capability to acquire a Class B CDL.
  • High school diploma or equivalent, a minimum of one (1) year formal electronics training and two (2) years factory training schools.
  • A minimum of one (1) years’ experience in the scale industry as a scale technician.
  • Have ability to read electrical schematics.
  • Proficient spoken and written English.
  • Punctual, meticulous and reliable.
  • Courteous manners with the staff and management.
  • The ability to work in a fast-paced environment with constant change.
  • Enjoys working in a team environment and learning from and assisting others.
  • Outstanding customer service skills.
  • Be a leader in the Service Department by constantly looking for ways to grow our business.
  • Must be comfortable with the repair and calibration of different types of weighing and measuring equipment including (but not limited to) pipettes, force measurement and material testing equipment.
