sustainable way. The team is using groundbreaking mushroom technology to develop
and manufacture different food and materials for an assortment of commercial and
industrial applications.

Join our exceptional team of operators and participate in affecting real change. We are
seeking to fill several Pilot Plant Operator openings on our Pilot Scale Operations
Team. Supporting operations, Pilot Scale Operators will be trained to operate internal
and external equipment to support both the facility and operations that may change to
suit the company’s needs. A strict attention to detail is required when running
machinery, document processes, collect data, clean and sanitize equipment and
facilities, troubleshoot equipment and processes related to the pilot team processes

The Pilot Plant Operators must observe and follow all safety rules and procedures,
wear required PPE, attend and contribute to team meetings and huddles, perform
inspections and testing of material at various stages of the process to ensure quality
and prevent contamination, and perform various clean-up and housekeeping activities.
The role also assists with team building and process development and advises
management of flow and planning opportunities.

Ecovative Pilot Plant Operators are responsible for the following:

  • Supporting operations through running experimental equipment, refining and
developing early-stage processes, approaching tasks with a continual
improvement philosophy
  • Operating a changing catalogue of internal and external facility and farm
equipment within a production and R&D setting.
  • Collecting data to track key performance indicators to measure our success
  • Adapt and implement best practices into our operation
  • Assisting with the formation of standard operating procedures and best

practices

Minimum Education, Qualifications and Competencies:

  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work well with a variety of different
personalities
  • Proficiency with word processors, spreadsheets, and communication through
email and various work-related applications
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to complete physical labor over an 8-hour period
  • Ability to work on your feet and lift and move up to 50-pound bags for extended
periods of time
  • Proficiency in analytical/critical thinking and excellent problem-solving skills
  • Experience in a professional or academic environment with an emphasis on
quality controls, safety and cleanliness
  • Willingness to change and adapt to new processes, procedures or work
requirements.
  • Must be an excellent team player as well as independently motivated to take
pride in the work that needs to be done and remain focused on the task at hand.
  • Exceptional organizational skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively
  • Comfortable working in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
  • Ability to work mandatory overtime on occasion

Preferred Qualifications and Competencies

  • Demonstrated experience leading small groups.
  • Lean management experience.
  • Database reporting and inventory tracking.
  • Clean room experience.
  • Operation of experimental and early-stage production equipment.
  • Mechanically inclined and can troubleshoot equipment.
  • Experience working in a laboratory or kitchen environment.
