Ecoquipment Rentals is Hiring a Heavy Equipment Technician Near Waltham, MA

Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Equipment Technician to join our team. As an Equipment Technician, you will be responsible for the repair, maintenance, and troubleshooting of various types of battery powered equipment, including electric excavators, Brokk electric excavators, battery powered buggies, battery powered skid steers, excavation and demolition attachments .

This is a hands-on role that requires strong technical knowledge and the ability to work independently.

Duties:
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on equipment, including diesel engines, vehicle systems, farm machinery, and industrial equipment
- Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues and determine the best course of action for repair
- Conduct inspections to identify potential problems and ensure equipment is in proper working order
- Check components as needed to ensure proper functioning
- Repair or replace faulty parts or components using hand tools and power tools
- Test equipment after repairs to ensure it is operating correctly
- Maintain accurate records of repairs, maintenance performed, and parts used
- Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines at all times

Qualifications:
- Previous experience in equipment repair, vehicle maintenance, excavation machinery, automotive repair, or industrial equipment is required
- Strong knowledge of mechanical systems and components
- Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues effectively
- Proficiency in checking and maintaining components
- Familiarity with electrical and electronic systems
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
