What we are looking for:

As an HR Recruiter at Economy Cash and Carry, Inc. you will play a crucial role in identifying and attracting skilled individuals and top talent to join our dynamic team. You will collaborate closely with hiring managers to understand staffing needs, develop effective recruitment strategies, and manage the end-to-end recruitment process. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills and a keen eye for top talent.


Position Responsibilities:

Recruitment Strategy:

  • Collaborate with hiring managers to understand staffing requirements and develop recruitment plans accordingly.
  • Utilize various recruitment channels, including job boards, social media, networking events, and employee referrals, to attract qualified candidates.
  • Proactively source and engage passive candidates through innovative recruitment techniques.

Candidate Screening and Selection:

  • Review resumes and applications to assess candidate qualifications and suitability for open positions.
  • Conduct initial application/resume reviews and phone screenings to evaluate candidates' skills, experience, and cultural fit.
  • Coordinate, schedule interviews, and at times participate with hiring managers and team members.

Interview and Selection Process:

  • Facilitate interview processes, including panel interviews, technical assessments, and behavioral evaluations.
  • Provide guidance and support to hiring managers in making informed hiring decisions.
  • Conduct reference checks and background screenings for selected candidates.

Candidate Experience:

  • Ensure a positive and professional candidate experience throughout the recruitment process.
  • Communicate effectively with candidates to provide timely updates and feedback on their application.
  • Address candidate inquiries and concerns promptly and professionally.
  • Schedules and coordinates new employee orientations. Ensures all employment documents are correctly completed and the necessary company equipment is issued as needed.

Data Management and Reporting:

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date candidate records in the applicant tracking system (ATS) and employee files.
  • Generate recruitment metrics and reports to track key performance indicators (KPIs) and evaluate the effectiveness of recruitment strategies.

Employer Branding:

  • Contribute to employer branding initiatives to enhance Economy Cash and Carry, Inc.'s reputation as an employer of choice.
  • Represent the company at recruitment events, career fairs, and industry conferences to promote our brand and attract top talent.

Daily Tasks:

  • Supports administration, coordination, and application of company-wide human resources policies, procedures, and practices.
  • Coordinate paperwork related to benefits, retirement plans, COBRA continuation, workers’ compensation, FMLA/ADA, and unemployment.
  • Assist with communication of benefit program changes and updates.
  • Respond to employee’s benefit questions, assists with resolution of problems regarding access to or payment of benefits.
  • Assist employees with paperwork related to filing medical claims, and processes enrollment forms and change requests.
  • Run daily attendance reports. Verify timecards. Processes and submits payroll information; troubleshoots payroll issues. Handles all payroll reports.
  • Required to perform other duties as assigned by management.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Minimum of 2 – 3 years of proven experience as an HR Recruiter or similar role, preferably in the wholesale industry.
  • Strong understanding of recruitment best practices, sourcing techniques, and employment laws.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to effectively prioritize tasks and manage multiple recruitment projects simultaneously.
  • Proficiency in applicant tracking systems (ATS) and other recruitment software.
  • Strong analytical skills to create reports and present stats on recruiting measurements.
  • Excellent computer and social media skills and experience.
  • High level of professionalism, integrity, organizational skills, and confidentiality.
  • Versatility, flexibility, and a willingness to work within constant changes in priorities.
  • Ability to deal effectively with a diverse group of individuals at all organizational levels.
  • Ability to work independently and as a member of various teams and committees.
  • Acute attention to detail and experience in training on the various aspects of Recruiting and HR.
  • Bilingual in both Spanish and English preferred.


Physical Requirements:

  • Frequently required to stand, walk, and sit.
  • Frequently required to utilize hand and finger dexterity.
  • Occasionally required to climb ladders, balance, bend, stoop, or kneel.
  • Frequently required to talk or hear.
  • Frequently utilize visual acuity to operate equipment, read technical information, and/or use a keyboard.
  • Occasionally required to lift/push/carry items less than 25 pounds and up to 50 pounds.
  • Occasionally exposed to extreme cold temperatures ranging from -10 to 40.
  • Performs other related physical duties as assigned by management.
