As a critical contributor on the Anaheim Production team, provide technician/junior engineer-level assistance to senior engineers for product support activities (mostly Printed Circuit Board Assembly repair) and development of new hardware and firmware designs.

DUTIES

  • ~90% of time would be dedicated to assisting Electronic Engineers/Technicians repair failed Printed Circuit Board Assemblies (PCBAs).
    • Perform repairs as specified by the engineer/technician.
    • Help to determine root cause.
  • ~10% of time would be dedicated product development:
    • Research on various technologies to determine viability for future products and solutions.
    • Schematic capture and PCB layout design of low-complexity products.
    • Functional verification, testing, test documentation, and troubleshooting.
    • Microcontroller firmware design and development.
    • Creation of product documentation including manuals and Engineering Change Orders (ECOs).

Note: Intern will develop/enhance their skills during the internship period with guidance from senior engineers to perform some or all of these duties.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • On track to complete BS in Electrical Engineering within one year of hiring or completed within the last 2 years.
  • Basic skills in soldering, schematic capture, and PCB layout design.
  • Basic software development skills using C or Python or other programming language.
  • Proficiency in applications like Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Ability to manage own responsibilities and work in a team environment.

PRE-EMPLOYMENT

COMPENSATION

The base pay range for this full-time non-exempt position is $16.50 - $18.50 per hour plus benefits. Pay ranges are determined by various factors, including role, experience, and location. The pay range displayed reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire rates for this position. Within the range, actual individual compensation is determined by various factors, including location, job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
