INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY FIELD TECHNICIAN

Position Summary

Ecology Auto Parts Inc. is seeking an Information Technology Field Technician to join our team at Corporate HQ in Cerritos, CA. This role will be primarily responsible for visiting all company sites and facilities to troubleshoot hardware and equipment issues. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical skills, an organization-oriented approach, and the ability to install and configure various devices, including surveillance equipment, networking devices, and other IT hardware. The Information Technology Field Technician will play a crucial role in ensuring the reliability and functionality of our IT infrastructure across all company facilities.

Responsibilities

• Visit company sites and facilities to provide on-site technical support, troubleshooting hardware and equipment issues promptly and efficiently.
• Install, configure, and maintain surveillance equipment, networking devices, and other IT hardware according to company standards and guidelines.
• Collaborate with the IT team to implement and optimize IT solutions and infrastructure across all locations.
• Conduct routine maintenance tasks, such as system updates, equipment checks, and inventory audits, to ensure the reliability and security of IT systems.
• Assist with IT asset management, including tracking inventory, documenting equipment configurations, and coordinating equipment procurement as needed.
• Provide user training sessions and create technical documentation to support end-users in utilizing IT hardware and equipment effectively.
• Stay informed about industry trends and best practices to continuously improve IT processes and procedures.
• Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines when working on-site at company facilities.

Requirements

Qualifications/Knowledge/Critical Skills

• Associate degree or equivalent experience in Information Technology or related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in IT support roles, with a focus on field support and on-site troubleshooting.
• Proficiency in troubleshooting hardware and equipment issues in a variety of environments.
• Strong knowledge of surveillance equipment, networking devices, and other IT hardware.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with end-users and colleagues.
• Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively while managing multiple on-site visits.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Valid driver's license and ability to travel to various locations as needed.

Physical Demands/Environmental Factors

• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, stand, and walk.
• Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
• Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
• Work may involve exposure to moderate noise levels and occasional exposure to outdoor weather conditions.

Compensation

The Information Technology Field Technician position offers a competitive hourly wage ranging from $20 to $25 per hour, commensurate with experience.
