Summary:
This position will provide hands-on leadership of Supply Chain initiatives. Primarily, the work to integrate a new acquisition into our existing supply chain organization including overseeing site transition to compliance operations. The Project Manager provides project direction and assigns tasks to associates. The Project Manager efficiently applies knowledge and expertise to identify and deploy solutions. This position will manage small to medium sized Supply Chain technology projects.
This position interfaces with various levels of management to negotiate project priorities and outcomes. The Project Manager will negotiate to resolve customer issues by seeking win-win solutions that add value to the customer. The Project Manager knows the business and/or seeks information about the underlying needs of the business.
Main Responsibilities:
• Manages the overall project lifecycle through Ecolab’s formal project approval and management process from planning to post-implementation on large, complex SC projects
• Creates and maintains project plans, establishes time and cost estimates, and ensures projects are deployed within expectations for, schedule, quality, and cost
• Provides direction to matrixed project teams by determining and communicating skill requirements, assigning tasks, measuring and addressing performance, and managing resource utilization
• Coordinates communication plans for projects across all stakeholders, both within SC and with other workstreams
• Monitors project progress and maintains regular status communications with appropriate stakeholders
• Manages expectations on project delivery through regular assessment of project progress and timely communication of impact to stakeholders
• Responsible for all issues resolution within projects
• Identifies and manages project risk
• Act as the single point of accountability to SC and Business Partners for projects within their responsibility
• Meet with business partners to understand and interpret needs and priorities and translating business concepts into high level requirements
Basic Qualifications:
• 5 years of experience in a SC/operational/WH environment with experience leading and implementing SC projects
• 5 years of experience and knowledge of Project Management methodologies and tools.
• Ability to manage project issues, conflicts, risks and deliver projects within budget and scope
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Products and Microsoft Project
• Demonstrated success leading and delivering projects with budgets in excess of $500K
• Demonstrated success leading project teams with 5 members in a matrixed organization
• Demonstrated success leading multiple simultaneous projects
• Bilingual (English/Spanish), Strong oral and written communication skills
• Able to utilize project management experience to act as the team’s primary interface between SC and other workstream owners
• Ability to lead without positional authority
