Ecolab is Hiring a Finance Manager, Financial Planning and Analysis Near Saint Paul, MN

The Finance Manager, Financial Planning and Analysis is responsible for providing value-added financial analysis and decision-making insight for the Healthcare division through monthly close processes and analysis including journal entries, forecasting, budgeting and reporting with full responsibility of the divisions P&L management. Also, will be responsible for balance sheet management with monthly reconciliations of assigned accounts and oversight of all balance sheet activities that impact the division. The emphasis of the position is to understand the Healthcare’s financial status and forecast and build out the details to support the story behind the numbers.

Will act as a consultant to business leaders to assist in growing and protecting the business and increasing profitability.

What You Will Do:

  • Own the month-end close process to ensure accurate and transparent results are achieved along with a deep understanding of P&L results. This will include working closing with supply chain and functional owners on forecast variances.
  • Building from the month-end close, establish detailed forecast processes (sales, gross margin, SG&A, and operating income) including division leadership presentations and alignments along with providing corporate with necessary forecasts and reconciliations supporting the business.
  • Annually, lead the budgeting process (sales through operating income and balance sheet). This requires working with all the functions to coordinate the numbers and stories and aligning with division leadership and corporate expectations. Successful candidates will have excellent communication skills and ability to multitask while meeting required milestones.
  • Drive margin enhancement working closely with supply chain, commercial finance, marketing, sales and RDE to provide financial support in the profit margin improvement and supporting analytics to make sound financial and business decisions.
  • Review and report out on balance sheet account variances to plan along with correct actions where necessary. A deep understanding of the balance sheet is a requirement.
  • Manage team members workflow including development, training, and overall knowledge of the business and FP&A oversite along.
  • Manage, improve, and lead processes on all activities to ensure proper controls and audit requirements are adhered to.
  • Project management activities as identified by management.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting
  • Seven years of financial analysis experience
  • No immigration sponsorship available for this position

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Word and Hyperion, SAP, and Power BI
  • Ability to multitask, managing multiple projects and day to day business demands
  • Ability to prepare and present information to a variety of audiences, including senior leadership team and get the messaging across clearly and concisely to make informed business decisions
  • Ability to manage team in day-to-day activities projects including engaging a multitude of various functions to accomplish tasks and get to resolution on issues and/or team project work
  • Project management experience – ability to drive a continuous process improvement mindset, foster innovative ideas, and successfully implement key business initiatives
  • Self-motivated, with strong organizational and time management skills
  • Strong problem solving, analytic, and critical thinking skills
