• We are looking for a DOTD Certified Construction Inspectors to join our team in the Lafayette, LA area. The right candidate will have a background in the field, excellent attention to detail and a commitment to safety. The Construction Inspector is to monitor daily on-site quality assurance, construction progress and prepare daily quality assurance reports to streets, highways, bridge, drainage and other utilities projects.

Responsibilities:

• High School diploma with 5 years experience in construction projects
• LADOTD certifications including Structural Concrete or Embankment. (OUT OF STATE DOTD CERTS MAY BE ACCEPTABLE TO LADOTD)
• Asphalt Paving, PCC Paving and Base Course are preferable.
• Computer skills include Microsoft Office Software including MS Word and MS Excel
• Work with architects, contractors, and engineers on a daily basis.
• Communication Skills both oral and written in English
• Ability to read and comprehend civil engineering drawings and specifications
