Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and professional PART TIME Medical Receptionist to join our team. As a Medical Receptionist, you will play a crucial role in providing exceptional patient service and administrative support to our medical practice. This position is located in Eclectic, AL
Duties:
- Greet patients and visitors in a friendly and professional manner
- Answer phone calls and direct them to the appropriate department or individual
- Schedule appointments for patients using our medical scheduling system
- Verify patient insurance information and collect co-pays or payments
- Maintain patient records and ensure accuracy of information
- Assist with medical administrative support tasks as needed
- Follow HIPAA guidelines to ensure patient privacy and confidentiality
- Manage incoming and outgoing mail, faxes, and emails
- Collaborate with other staff members to ensure smooth operations at the front desk
Experience:
- Previous experience as a Medical Receptionist or in a similar role is preferred
- Knowledge of medical terminology and procedures is a plus
- Familiarity with Primary Care receptionist duties is beneficial
- Proficiency in using phone systems and other office equipment
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Experience with with using medical software
