The Sales Operations Supervisor role supervises the daily activities of the sales support functions. Trains and coaches, the Sales Support Specialist team. Identifies strategic initiatives, business process improvement, and cross-functional implementation efforts that will drive efficiency and profitable growth throughout the year.

This is a hybrid position that will offer the flexibility of working from home and on-site at our Lake Zurich facility.

Duties/Responsibilities: 

  • Drives continuous improvement in cross-functional processes and objectives for effective sales operations.
  • Establishes and adjusts procedures and guidelines.
  • Serves as a subject matter expert for sales support tools and technology.
  • Establishes processes and controls to support sales and ensure compliance.
  • Supervises Sales Support Specialist team to ensure:
    • Smooth onboarding of new customers.
    • Timely onboarding of new product in customer PIM.
    • Disputes are being handled timely and accurately through all customer portals.
    • Reconciliations are being completed accurately with proper support for review from upper management.
    • Correct customer discounts, rebates, open accounts receivable, and accruals for budget tracking.
    • Credits and debits are being created and routed properly and timely for approval.
  • Analyze disputes from current and past incidents to understand the root cause and develop and implement solutions to minimize and prevent future occurrences.
  • Cultivate relationships between teams such as operations, marketing, IT, and finance to align processes and procedures for the sales teams across the organization.
  • Gather and analyze information across multiple functions to arrive at actionable recommendations in support of process improvement objectives.
  • Assess priorities, identify conflicts, and recommend alternatives based on inquiries from the sales or cross-functional teams such as Customer Service and Operations to ensure issues are addressed properly.
  • Support strategic initiatives, including growth strategies, business process improvement, and cross-functional implementation efforts with project management, process mapping, process documentation, training, and communication.
  • Document sales operations processes and conduct gap analysis to identify opportunities for improvement.

Job Experience/Skills: 

  •  3 years’ experience serving in a sales or customer support role.
  •  Strong analytical and researching skills that enable the analysis of key business drivers, trends, and operating metrics.
  •  Excellent operational and execution skills (planning, problem solving, unblocking, etc.).
  •  Proven ability to work as an integral part of a cross functional team.
  •  Strong cross-functional communication and collaboration skills with the ability to operate and influence across multiple levels of the organization.
  •  Proven ability to build meaningful, long-term relationships with key stakeholders and external business partners.
  •  Exemplary PC literacy skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Education: Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
