ECHO is looking for an Internal Communications and Employee Engagement Lead to join our dynamic HR team! This person will be responsible for preparing and reviewing internal communications, including email campaigns, webinars, bulletins, newsletters, town halls, website stories, spotlight features, blog posts, video scripts, and social media campaigns. The Internal Communications and Employee Engagement Lead will also be responsible for developing and managing the ECHO employer brand to attract talent, engage team members, and create employee advocates. 

This is a hybrid position that will offer the flexibility of working from home and on-site at our Lake Zurich facility.

Duties/Responsibilities: 

  • Partner across the organization on key initiatives and develop an integrated communications plan, including drafting key messaging, communications, presentations, talk tracks, FAQs, and other materials.
  • Coordinate employee events, programs, community involvement and volunteering programs with the support of the HR team and the Employee Events Committee.
  • Provide editorial support to the enterprise on various communication initiatives.
  • Develop and manage social, digital, and other collateral materials pertaining to ECHO's employer brand, culture, and recruiting efforts.
  • Craft narratives that leverage storytelling and are aligned with our company values, culture, and style.
  • Manage HR Intranet and ECHO Careers website content.
  • Monitor and post updates/responses to inquiries in written and social media channels.
  • Collaborate and build relationships with stakeholders across the business to achieve and support social and digital goals for employer branding efforts that align with and leverage overarching business talent objectives.
  • Measure the effectiveness of employer branding and communication efforts by integrating metrics and benchmarks in programs.
  • Lead the selection of additional communications channels.

Job Experience/Skills: 

  • 3-5 years of experience in corporate/internal communications.
  • Meticulous attention to detail and follow-through skills.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills; solid presentation skills.
  • Experience with a range of communication technologies and channels such as intranet (SharePoint), email, social networks, video, HTML, content management systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Competency in graphic design, layout, and collateral development.
  • Ability to translate content consumption metrics into engaging communications that increase knowledge and engagement of targeted audiences.
  • Proven ability to multi-task and work with multiple deadlines.
  • Strong interpersonal/listening and collaboration skills.

Education: Bachelor's degree required; preferably in Marketing, Communications, or Business.
