Job description

Certified Veterinary Technician- Urgent Care

Our locally owned small animal practice is seeking to hire a Certified Veterinary Technician to join our staff.

As a practice we have been in the Eugene area a little over 7 years. We are associated with one other hospital in Lane County, Oregon. Between the 2 practices we have 8 doctors who have over 40 years of experience.

For this position we are looking for a candidate who is team-oriented, eager to apply their skills and enjoys working with a variety of cases in a fast-paced environment. Our goal is to provide the successful candidate with an environment where they can apply their skills and continue to grow in their position through experience.

The successful candidate will have the opportunity to aid the doctor in preparation of emergency surgery, induction and monitoring anesthesia, performing in-house diagnostics, triaging patients upon arrival, and providing leadership and direction to support staff (just to name a few).

With extended hours we have a few positions available and hours vary.

Experience:

  • Certified Veterinary Technician for 1 year (preferred)

License:

  • Certified Veterinary Technician License for the state of Oregon
