Job Description: As a System Administrator at ECD Systems, you will play a crucial role in maintaining and optimizing our IT infrastructure both internally and for our customers. You’ll work closely with our IT team and customers to ensure the smooth operation of servers, networks, and software applications. If you’re passionate about technology, problem-solving, and continuous improvement, we’d love to hear from you!

Responsibilities:

  • Server Management: Monitor, configure, and maintain servers (both physical and virtual) to ensure optimal performance and security.
  • Network Administration: Manage network devices, troubleshoot connectivity issues, and implement network security protocols.
  • User Support: Provide technical support to end-users, addressing hardware and software-related inquiries.
  • Backup and Recovery: Implement data backup solutions and disaster recovery plans.
  • Security Measures: Collaborate with the security team to enforce best practices and protect against cyber threats.
  • Software Updates: Keep systems up to date by applying patches and upgrades.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate documentation of system configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps.

Qualifications


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Minimum 4 years’ experience as a System Administrator or similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of Windows operating systems (Linux experience is a plus).
  • Familiarity with virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper-V, etc.).
  • Experience with MS SQL is preferred.
  • Self Starter that works well to complete projects in a timely manner with minimal supervision.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Certifications such as CompTIA A , Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate, or Cisco CCNA are a plus.
  • Valid Drivers License with reliable transportation.
