Job Overview: We are currently seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Temporary Payroll Specialist for a period of at least two months. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing payroll processing and ensuring accurate and timely compensation of employees in compliance with company guidelines and statutory requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Process payroll for employees in a timely and accurate manner.
• Verify data input and correct errors to ensure accuracy of payroll.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll, wage, and hour laws and best practices.
• Facilitate and process deductions, bonuses, and other payroll related adjustments.
• Prepare and maintain accurate records and reports of payroll transactions.
• Address and resolve any inquiries or issues related to payroll.
• Collaborate with HR and accounting teams to ensure smooth payroll operations.
• Provide support in payroll audits and help in implementing any corrective actions required. 

Requirements

Qualifications:

• Associate's or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
• Proven experience as a Payroll Specialist or Payroll Clerk.
• Strong knowledge of payroll systems, preferably with experience in [specific software, e.g., ADP, QuickBooks, etc.].
• Familiarity with federal, state, and local payroll regulations and requirements.
• Excellent numerical aptitude and attention to detail.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to handle confidential information.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written. 

Compensation:

• Hourly rate/salary commensurate with experience.
