Overview

EBlock Houston is seeking a highly organized and customer-focused Title Clerk to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the daily processing of vehicle titles, ensuring a seamless experience for our customers by bridging the gap between customer expectations and the intricacies of title processing. With a firm grasp on state and local regulations as well as company policies, the Title Clerk will play a crucial role in maintaining customer satisfaction through proactive solutions and exceptional service.

Responsibilities

What you will do:

  • Customer Interaction: Serve as the primary point of contact for all levels of customers, from the general public to high-level managers, ensuring a positive company image through both face-to-face and verbal communications.
  • Title Processing: Efficiently analyze and identify vehicle title/ownership documents, process titles in line with state guidelines, and address any discrepancies or issues with paperwork in a timely manner.
  • Issue Resolution: Take the initiative to resolve titling issues by liaising with dealers, regulatory agencies, and customers, providing immediate solutions or escalating complex issues to the appropriate manager.
  • Record Maintenance: Keep accurate and up-to-date records of vehicle titling, customer interactions, and transactions, adhering to company guidelines and ensuring data integrity.
  • Communication: Regularly communicate with customers and sellers regarding title requests, ensuring all documentation meets required standards and addressing any outstanding issues promptly.
Qualifications

What You Will Need:

  • Experience: At least 2 years in a customer service-oriented role, with a preference for candidates having experience in vehicle title processing or the car auction business.
  • Education: High School diploma or GED.
  • Skills: Exceptional customer service skills, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and strong typing, communication, and email correspondence skills are essential.
  • Language: Fluency in both Spanish and English is necessary.
  • Attributes: A strong sense of organization, the ability to multitask, and work independently with minimal supervision. 
  • Flexibility: Availability to work overtime as needed and adapt to changing workloads and priorities.

Working Conditions:

  • The role involves attending to long-duration calls, manual dexterity for desktop computer use, and occasional overtime to meet business needs.
