East Bay German International School (EBGIS) is a small dual-language immersion school offering Early Childhood, Elementary, Middle, and High School programs. Purpose of the Position
As an Early Childhood Teacher at EBGIS, you will play a vital role in nurturing the academic, linguistic, and socio-emotional development of our youngest learners. You will provide a dynamic and supportive learning environment that fosters curiosity, creativity, and cultural appreciation. Through engaging, play-based activities and differentiated instruction, you will facilitate language acquisition and cognitive growth in both English and German. By integrating our dual-language immersion model into every aspect of the curriculum, you will help lay the foundation for our students to become bilingual, biliterate, and culturally competent individuals. Your dedication to fostering a love of learning and building strong relationships with students and families will contribute to the holistic development of each child in our vibrant and diverse community.
Role Overview
As an Early Childhood Teacher at EBGIS, you will be responsible for creating a nurturing and stimulating learning environment for preschool and kindergarten students. Your primary focus will be on implementing the school's dual-language immersion curriculum, ensuring that students develop proficiency in both English and German languages. You will design and deliver developmentally appropriate lessons and activities that promote language acquisition, social-emotional growth, and cognitive development. Collaborating with colleagues and parents, you will monitor student progress, assess learning outcomes, and provide targeted support to meet the diverse needs of each child.
