Eaton’s IS Filtration division is currently seeking a Shipping and Receiving Clerk.

The hourly rate for this position is $18 - $24 per hour. The hours for first shift are as follows; 7 : 00 am - 3 : 30 pm.

Salaries are based upon candidate skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.

What you’ll do :

Shipping and Receiving Clerk

This position will perform a wide range of skills which include unloading / loading trucks, receiving and putting away material, operating a forklift to safely retrieve parts and materials out of racks and supply them to the assembly lines and preparing product for shipment.

This position will be expected to flex into the production area as needed

• Perform assigned function from oral and / or written instructions
• Follow established procedures / work instructions for assigned functions and handle materials per established procedures
• Load and unload trucks and perform the receiving function
• Perform inventory cycle counts
• Prepare product for shipment and process needed shipping paperwork
• Use hand tools such as bander to secure material for shipments, impact nail guns to build crates, hammer, tape measure, and other tools required to build pallets and boxes
• Operate a variety of material handling equipment including forklifts, hand trucks, pallet jacks, cranes, and hand tools to load and unload trucks and place material in the proper location
• Observe good housekeeping and safety procedures and keep equipment, tools, and work area clean and orderly by performing 5-S duties and continued dedication to raising the bar
• Exhibit teamwork in all you do, maintaining a positive and team-based attitude. Support peers in times of high demand by working hours assigned and overtime as required;

also comply with scheduled start / stop times and break periods for the facility

• Use appropriate lift assist or partner lift when moving material / products. May lift and carry up to 35 lbs and push or pull up to 100 lbs
• Cross-train and flex or stand in for other employees / job functions when necessary
• Flex in production roles as needed

Qualifications :

• High School diploma or GED from an accredited institution
• Experience in electrical equipment manufacturing and assembly (panelboards / switchboards)
• Minimum one (1) year of experience in a shipping and receiving role
• Previous experience operating forklifts and other powered industrial trucks
• Must be able to work in the United States without corporate sponsorship now and in the future
• No relocation benefit is being offered for this position. Only candidates within a 50-mile radius of the work location will be considered.

Preferred Qualifications :

Experience using various tools, including Manual / electric / pneumatic tools, drill press, press brake, jib crane, template / fixtures, hand carts, measuring and testing equipment, storage / packaging materials, and prescribed safety equipment
