Eaton is Hiring a Remote Process Lead: Demand Planning

Eaton’s Corporate Sector is currently seeking a Process Lead: Demand Planning to join our team. This position can be based at any Eaton facility in the U.S. and is eligible for a hybrid work setup.

Position Overview:

Eaton Corporation is currently seeking a Materials Management Process Lead within our Digital Supply Chain Planning CoE team. The current practice of supply chain management incorporates digital technologies to connect our end-to-end supply chain network and to enhance transparency, agility and decision-making to delight our customers. As part of Eaton’s supply chain digital transformation, we are seeking an experienced contributor to join our Digital Supply Chain Planning CoE team as key Process Lead for Demand Planning – to help drive the deployment of the Kinaxis Rapid Response concurrent planning solution across the Enterprise.

The Process Lead for Demand Planning will have experience in Supply chain management, background in working with demand forecasting tools like Demantra, MRP and ERP systems, excellent problem-solving skills, experience interfacing with users and documenting business processes, and the ability to influence others and foster teamwork.

This role will collaborate with our SIOP teams to drive cross-functional collaboration to allow the SIOP process to synchronize planning across our value chain. This individual will also ensure that policies, procedures, tools, and systems are implemented in a consistent and standardized approach in support of broader business goals, objectives, and key initiatives.

In this function you will:

  • Act as the lead subject matter expert for Demand Planning across the enterprise, taking ownership for process design & documentation, working with cross functional stakeholders to build organizational capability to execute the step, and identify opportunities to improve process efficiency, effectiveness and quality of output as measured by agreed KPIs.
  • In addition, actively participate in the implementation of our SIOP strategy, and help translate best in class demand planning processes into our enterprise planning platform (Kinaxis Rapid Response), including guidance on statistical forecasting and best-in-class demand planning.
  • Partner with business stakeholders to understand solution pain points, troubleshoot complex planning issues, standardize wherever possible, and propose long term solutions.
  • Act as global Process Lead for the Demand Planning process area, for Kinaxis Rapid Response implementations across Eaton businesses, in alignment with divisional stakeholders
  • Work alongside a team of other process leads to form the central governance board, as well as with a team of configuration/integration analysts.
  • Ensure solutions are scalable, highly performant and governed in accordance with maximum process standardization across Eaton where applicable
  • Develop playbooks and best practice documentation for processes in scope - with on-going review and improvements through agile methodology and learnings through implementations
  • Deep knowledge of end-to-end supply chain processes from planning to execution & SIOP
  • Coordinate with other Process Leads as part of the Global Design Board and act as gatekeeper to ensure standardization of key design decisions in the end-to-end planning process.
  • Define and own processes related to Demand Planning for Eaton. Ensures process quality by gradually increasing maturity and governance and leading a robust continuous improvement effort.
  • Partner with Materials Management, SIOP, Planning (MRP), Purchasing (Supplier Collaboration), Operations manufacturing, Inventory Management, IT, Master Data Management teams across enterprise
  • Expect 10-25% travel (both domestic and international) as determined by the business' needs.
  • Provide consultation to leadership in the development of solutions to resolve inconsistencies between demand forecasts and capabilities
  • Analyze trends, validate data, and provide feedback to stakeholders to ensure continuous improvement & ability to accurately forecast production output as well as operational and financial outcomes.

Qualifications

Required (Basic) Qualifications:

  • Bachelors or Master’s Degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, Business Analytics from an accredited institution.
  • 7 years minimum in Supply Chain (Materials Management, Inventory management, demand planning, supply planning, procurement, SIOP.)
  • No relocation benefit is being offered for this position. Only candidates within a 50-mile radius of a Eaton facility in the U.S. will be considered. Active-Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation.
  • Must be able to work in the United States without corporate sponsorship now and within the future

Preferred qualifications:

  • CPIM certification a plus.
  • Strong demand planning background, ideally with a mix of business types and planning strategies (made-to-order, projects, made-to-stock.)
  • Experienced in statistical forecasting techniques with good level of maturity in the SIOP process,
  • Experienced in driving organizations to align on one set of numbers and delivering solid business results, ideally in large and complex matrix environments.
  • Deep functional understanding of supply chain processes: procurement, SIOP, Materials Management, demand planning and forecasting, end-to-end planning, production scheduling, capacity analysis, inventory management and scenario analysis.
  • Digital skills to help build a supply chain that is collaborative and connected with advanced solving capabilities
  • Proven ability in authoring business processes
  • Ability to translate high-level business requirements into functional requirements.
  • Knowledge with system/data integration experience or experience with API development.
  • Experience in implementing advanced planning tools such as KInaxis RapidResponse, SAP APO or IBP, O9 solutions...
  • Experience in Project Management, preferably with Agile Methodology or Scrum Framework
  • Skilled in qualitative/quantitative data analysis and communicating results to all levels of the organization and using data analysis and metrics to identify and implement improvements.

  • As a Product Owner, validates which requirements will be prioritized during Sprints/testing sequences
  • Plays back solution to the bigger user community within Eaton and ensures training and solution consistency
  • Acts as gatekeeper for additional requirements and manages improvement pipeline over-time.

The expected annual salary range for this role is $116,250 – $170,500 a year.
