Eaton’s IS AER FMC division is currently seeking a Facilities Associate.

The hourly rate for this position is $20.40 - $30.60 per hour. The hours for second shift are as follows; 1 : 45 am - 10 : 15 pm.

Salaries are based upon candidate skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.

What you’ll do : PRIMARY FUNCTION :

PRIMARY FUNCTION :

Eaton Aerospace Group located in Los Angeles; CA (near Glendale metro) has an opening for an Facilities Associate. The LA facility has approximately 250 employees and is a leader in the design, development, manufacture and delivery of Aerospace hydraulic components, systems and services to the global aftermarket and OEM markets.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS :

• Install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain various building systems.
• Operate a variety of equipment to perform preventative maintenance, minor repairs and maintain cleanliness of property.
• Perform a variety of maintenance / minor repair activities but not limited to, painting, drywall, parking lots, sidewalks, plumbing repairs, clears drain stoppages, lighting, flooring, and roof.
• Assist with maintaining appropriate inventory systems, records, files, material safety data sheets, supplies, equipment, and tools.
• Assist in the setup of events and install / take-down décor.
• Support the site with employee moves, shipping and receiving, and other related tasks.
• Conduct routine office maintenance including mounting TV’s, whiteboards, workstations, assembling office furniture.
• Embody and support Eaton’s Environmental, Health, and Safety policy.
• Perform work with all applicable standards, policies, and regulatory guidelines (including OSHA standards) to promote a safe working environment.
• Assist with emergency planning and response in coordination with management and facilities team.
• Provide assistance and interact with all employees as needed.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications : Basic Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalency certificate from an accredited institution.
• Minimum of 2 years hands-on maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Relocation is not offered for this role. Candidates must reside within a 50-mile distance of the Los Angeles, CA facility (zip code 90039) to be considered.
• Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship.
• This position requires use of information or access to hardware which is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR).

Preferred Qualifications :

• Experience with health and safety plans and policies.
• Use of and training for scaffolding, cranes, forklifts, boom & scissor lifts, lifting straps / slings, and fall protection equipment.
• Support with emergency response crews in incidents involving hazardous and non-hazardous material releases to air, soil, and water.
• Basic knowledge of electrical, plumbing, heating, ventilation, air conditioning and refrigeration (HVAC / R), concrete, framing, and industrial gas trade
• Experience using Windows operating systems and Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook).
