Eaton is Hiring a Coil Winder (Machine Operator)- 1st Shift Near Santa Ana, CA
Eaton’s CPDI PDI division is currently seeking a Coil Winder (Machine Operator)- 1st Shift. We are a leader in the design and production of critical power distribution products for many specific segments. The Coil Winder (Machine Operator)- 1st Shift role offers a full-time work week of 40 hours and potential overtime. Hours: 5:00 AM- 1:30 PM. Full Benefits and 401k plan is offered to you day one of employment. Job offer also includes a $500 bonus after 3 months of employment.
The hourly rate for this position is $22.71 per hour.

What you’ll do:
- Wind standard coils for dry type transformers
- Utilize hook-up/hot work assembly tools to meet production demands
- Inspect product quality and installation to ensure conformance to production quality standards related to coil dimension, bus bar location, etc.
- Maintain a minimum of 80% of productivity time standards
- Adhere to company regulations, including adherence to policies regarding safety, attendance and punctuality
- Interpret engineering drawings, electrical schematics and blueprints
- Keep all work areas clean, organized and presentable
- Comply with all applicable U.S. export control and security regulations
Qualifications:
- No relocation benefit is being offered for this position. Only candidates within a 50-mile radius of the work location will be considered. Active-Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation.
- High School Diploma or GED from an accredited institution
- Forklift operator certification (can be trained on-site)
- 3 or more years of experience in related field preferred
- 6 or more months using soldering/brazing/welding experience OR a completed welding certificate from an accredited institution or high school trades course
- Previous Machine Operation experience
Skills:
- Ability to lift 40 pounds
- Repetitive use of mallet to shape coils is required.
- Ability to weld and braze
- Ability to wear required Personal Protective Equipment as required
- Ability to stand for extended periods of time.
- Repetitive lifting, bending, and squatting is inherent to this position.
- Pushing & pulling is required during the manufacturing process
