Job Description

A Guest Relations Associate is also known as the Education & Events Associate. The Guest Relations Associate engages with guests by sharing knowledge about Eataly, its products and history. They are responsible for providing exceptional guest service and directly influencing guest impressions at Eataly by way of greeting, directing, and answering inquiries over the phone and in person. Reports to the Education & Events Manager.

• Provides exemplary guest service to all internal and external Eataly guests
• Communicates effectively to customers and staff in person, through email, and over the phone
• Handles guest situations in a professional, quick, thorough, and respectful manner.
• Collects payments from guests and issues store credits, comps, and refunds with Management discretion
• Sells and process gift cards
• Provides clients with product information
• Takes order for and prepares custom orders (grocery orders, gift box)
• Prepares and executes product tastings and demonstrations and assists with in-store events and activations
• Performs other duties as required or assigned

Qualifications

• Excellent guest service attitude with a welcoming and confident demeanor
• Ability to remain calm and patient in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to learn, retain and share Eataly knowledge
• High school graduate or equivalent
• Intermediate computer skills
• Basic math and cash-handling skills
• Previous retail and/or restaurant experience preferred 
• Ability to speak and understand Italian preferred

Job Requirements

• Ability to remain stationary for periods of up to 8 hours in length
• Ability to escort guests to other parts of the facility as circumstances dictate

Pay: $17.00 - $21.00 per hour
