As a quick lube tech you ll start by beingresponsible for inspecting and lubricating vehicles quickly andthoroughly. And with a little hard work and dedication who knowswhere you ll be able to go At our dealership the door is alwaysopen. And so are your options.
JobResponsibilities
- Perform multipoint inspections
- Communicate additional service / repair needs to serviceadvisors
- Service universal joints grease fittings and steeringknuckles using hand or compressedair powered grease guns
- Inspect fluid levels in steering gears power steeringreservoirs transmissions differentials rear axle housings andshackles
- Check tire pressure
- Lubricate moving parts with specified lubricants
- Add water to radiator and battery
- Replace oil and air filters
- Inspect all vehicles for additionalrepairs
- Adhere to all company policies procedures safetystandards and codes of conduct
- Follow dealership safety procedures to avoid exposureto fumes dirt and harsh chemicals
Requirements
Qualifications
- Must meet dealership s requirements foremployment
- Ability to read / comprehend written instructions andinformation
- Familiarity with all aspects of automotiverepair / maintenance
- Must have a valid driver license and be able to operatemanual transmissions
- Prior experience as a technician s helper or apprenticepreferred
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
PhysicalRequirements / WorkingConditions
- Occasional exposure to inclement weather
- Ability to operate an automobile
- Prolonged periods of standing stooping andbending
- Exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally and / or10 to 25 pounds of force frequently and / or greater than 10 poundsof force constantly to move objects
- Requires a significant amount of walking and / orstanding. May also require working in the seated position for longperiods while operating controls with arms and legs.
This positionmay also require working at a production pace while pushing and / orpulling materials from place to place.
