The Client

Our client is specialized in multi-disciplinary engineering and architectural projects, offering a wide range of services in project management, design and engineering to support infrastructure projects. They operate in various APAC locations such as Australia, Fiji, Papua and New Guinea.

Scope of work: The Senior Project Manager will provide comprehensive technical and project management guidance under the operations of project alongside contractors with engineering specialist and entities. The role provides a broad range of responsibilities and opportunities working on Buildings, Concrete Structures, Earthworks, Foundations, Structural works, Infrastructure, Roads, etc.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate commitment to health and safety management system and working practices.
• Coordinate with design teams to deliver each project according to contracted requirements.
• Develop project execution plans.
• Assist with checking and approving drawings and reports.
• Maintain documents and schedules.
• Ensure projects meet contractual obligations with respect to time and financial budgets.
• Deliver accurate and meaningful project reports (or sub-reports).
• Builds and maintains constructive client relationships.
• Develop new client relationships.
• Contribute to the ongoing development of the Project Management Framework to deliver best practice solutions and to add to the client's intellectual property.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Engineering (Civil)
• Registered Professional Engineer of Queensland – Civil (RPEQ)
• 10 years of project management experience in the design phase for the Queensland Government on Type 1 (large) and Type 2 (medium) road infrastructure projects or equivalent:
• Type 1: Complex / extreme or high-risk infrastructure projects, requiring high levels of investigation, management and control.
• Type 2: Straightforward / medium risk transport infrastructure projects, requiring moderate levels of investigation, management and control.
• Meet the minimum requirement of Project Manager Design Level 2 (PMD02): Suppliers - How to join (Department of Transport and Main Roads) (tmr.qld.gov.au)
• Primarily Brisbane-based with occasional business trips in Australia and South Pacific countries.
• Able to manage projects and maintain constructive client relationships.
• Energetic and have a can-do attitude.
