Eastside Veterinary Associates is Hiring a Veterinary Receptionist Near Kirkland, WA

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Veterinary Receptionist to join our team. You thrive on building relationships with clients, patients, and teammates, greeting everyone by name and anticipating their needs. You feel a huge sense of pride as a Tetris master to fill every space on a challenging schedule, prioritizing urgent care needs while assuring owners of stable patients that they are important too. You are proud of your detective work, chasing down records from specialists and other veterinary hospitals. You love paperless records and a hospital that values cutting-edge, efficient processes with integrated labs, e-mails, texts, and the use of AI medical records with Scribblevet. We regularly work with MEOW Cat Rescue to support the medical needs of the shelter pets in their care.

Responsibilities:

  • Greet clients and their pets with a warm and friendly demeanor
  • Schedule appointments and to help owners understand the value of the appointment with the medical team.
  • Answer phone calls and respond to client inquiries
  • Check-in patients and update their medical records
  • Assist with handling and restraining animals when necessary
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the reception area
  • Process payments and handle financial transaction

Experience and Skills:

  • Excellent customer service skills with a friendly and professional attitude
  • Previous experience working in a veterinary clinic is required.
  • Proficient in veterinary terminology and procedures
  • Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills with the ability to multitask effectively
  • Knowledge of animal restraint techniques

Pay: $20.00 - $23.00 per hour

Expected hours: 36 – 40 per week
