Eastridge Workforce Solutions is partnering with a leader in development of aircraft instrumentation, in its search for a Controller in the greater White Plains, NY area. Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Supervise accounting and cost accounting operations, ensuring accuracy and adherence to accounting principles.
  • Prepare and oversee financial reporting, both internal and corporate, providing insightful analysis and recommendations.
  • Coordinate and lead the monthly closing of accounting systems, ensuring timely and accurate financial statements.
  • Apply ASC 606 accounting standards for revenue recognition, ensuring compliance and accurate reporting.
  • Manage the budgeting and forecasting process, providing financial insights and guidance.
  • Manage banking and treasury management activities, optimizing cash flow and liquidity.
  • Implement effective working capital management strategies to improve financial performance.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to establish new product and program pricing, ensuring profitability and market competitiveness.
  • Conduct product margin analysis to identify areas for cost savings and pricing optimization.
  • Generate manufacturing and engineering burden rates to accurately allocate costs to products and projects.
  • . Monitor and report monthly manufacturing and engineering labor productivity, identifying opportunities for improvement.
  • Oversee and control the year-end audit process, collaborating with auditors to ensure compliance and timely completion.
  • Monitor and report on capital expenditure (Capex), providing insights on investment performance.
  • Prepare and present weekly key performance indicators (KPI) reports, highlighting operational and financial metrics.
  • Generate monthly bookings, billing, and backlog reports, providing visibility into sales and revenue performance.
  • Verify the creditworthiness of new customers and vendors, ensuring risk mitigation and financial stability.
  • Manage quarterly sales tax filings, ensuring compliance with tax regulations.
  • Participate as an integral part of the business leadership in monitoring performance progress and providing strategic recommendations.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • A minimum of five years of experience in a manufacturing environment is also required; aerospace or high technology is preferred.
  • Must be a team player, have impeccable integrity, strong leadership skills and the ability to make timely decisions in complex commercial, military, and international aerospace environments.
  • The successful candidate will lead an experienced staff that provides payroll, billing, payables, receivables, and capital expenditure functions.
  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
  • Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.

Education and Experience:

  • BS/BA degree in Finance/Accounting, CPA and/or MBA is preferred.
