Description

The Learning Center Director will oversee the overall academic quality, operations, success, student retention, and recruitment efforts of our learning center. As the lead teacher, educator and face of our learning center, this pivotal role demands a hands-on approach in the classroom, exceptional leadership in managing learning center staff, and a visionary perspective to drive initiatives forward. The ideal candidate will embody a culture of care, nurturing a growth mindset among both staff and students, ensuring the learning environment is supportive, engaging, and conducive to excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Leadership and Vision: Serve as the lead educator, setting high standards for academic excellence and operational effectiveness. Develop and implement strategic plans that align with the learning center's mission and goals, fostering a culture that embraces growth, innovation, and continuous improvement.
  • Academic Oversight: Take a hands-on approach to classroom management, directly engaging in student learning experiences to monitor and enhance classroom dynamics, teaching methodologies, and student progress. Ensure curriculum relevance, rigor, and compliance with educational standards.
  • Operations Management: Oversee daily operations of the learning center, including scheduling, resource allocation, and facility management, to ensure a smooth, efficient, and safe learning environment for all students and staff.
  • Staff Management and Development: Recruit, hire, train, and evaluate all learning center staff. Foster professional growth and development opportunities, promoting a culture of care, collaboration, and excellence. Lead by example, demonstrating a commitment to mentorship, feedback, and constructive support.
  • Student Retention and Recruitment: Develop and implement effective strategies for student retention and recruitment, ensuring the learning center grows both in numbers and in the quality of education provided. Engage with students and families to build strong relationships and a supportive community.
  • Community and Stakeholder Engagement: Act as the primary liaison with parents, educational bodies, and the wider community, promoting the learning center's programs, achievements, and values. Build partnerships and networks that enhance the educational experience and resources available to students and staff.
  • Initiative and Project Management: Lead and support initiatives aimed at improving the learning center, from curriculum innovation to facility upgrades. Drive projects from conception through to completion, ensuring objectives are met and stakeholders are engaged.
