Job Summary:
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Christian Elementary School Teachers to join our team. As an Elementary School Teacher, you will be responsible for educating and nurturing young minds, creating a positive learning environment, and implementing effective teaching strategies.
Duties:
- Develop and implement lesson plans that align with the curriculum and educational standards
- Teach various subjects including math, literacy, science, and social studies
- Utilize different teaching methods to accommodate diverse learning styles
- Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes student engagement and participation
- Provide individualized attention and support to students who require extra assistance
- Assess student progress through assignments, tests, and other forms of evaluation
- Collaborate with other teachers and staff to develop and implement school-wide initiatives
- Utilize classroom technology to enhance the learning experience
- Provide tutoring or additional support to students as needed
- Manage classroom behavior effectively using proven behavior management techniques
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Education or a related field (Master's degree preferred)
- Valid teaching certification/license
- Proven experience working with elementary school-aged children
- Strong knowledge of curriculum development and instructional strategies
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficient in literacy education, math instruction, and other core subjects
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively
- Attention to detail for proofreading assignments and assessments
- Supports and implements the mission/philosophy of Christian education and the school
