POSITION: Industrial Automation Instructor, Adult Workforce Development

REPORTS TO: Director, Adult Workforce Development

QUALIFICATIONS: Successful applicants must be able to secure an Ohio Department of Education Adult Education Permit (Education degree not required); A Bachelor’s degree in the subject area of Mechanical Engineering Technologies, Electromechanical Engineering Technologies, Robotics & Automation, or similar field preferred; Three years of related work experience; Industry credentials in the field of Automation or Robotics preferred; Strong experience with automation and robotics preferred; Computer expertise appropriate to the position; Prior positive experience working with adults is beneficial. Applicants should also possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to work with business/industry and post-secondary institutions required and successfully pass BCI/FBI background check.

RESPONSIBILITIES: Prepare lesson plans and provide both classroom and hands-on lab instruction to individuals to include academic skills, occupational skills and employability skills and traits to become successful in today’s workforce; Assist with student recruitment, job placement and follow-up with employers to determine student progress; Coordinate program review and improvement through the use of a program advisory board; Assist with the development and delivery of customized training when necessary. Collect and maintain documentation for accreditation.

SALARY: Placement on the Part-Time as needed salary schedule

TYPE OF EMPLOYMENT: Part-time, as needed; Hourly; Monday – Thursday 4pm-10pm (other hours as needed); No benefits with this position
