POSITION: Campus Security
REPORTS TO: Principal, Eastland Career Center and Security Coordinator
APPLICATION DEADLINE: Open until position is filled
STARTING DATE: August 1, 2024
QUALIFICATIONS: High School diploma/GEC, some college coursework with law enforcement/security experience preferred. Must be able to work and communicate effectively and build rapport with a diverse population of high school age students and adults; Individual must be self-directed with the ability to work in a team environment. Must be first contact/responder to building security alarms/issues during non-duty hours. First aid certification preferred. Technology skills should include email, Microsoft Office Suite – Word and Excel, Google applications, Online computer training and computerized video surveillance security systems. Liaison to local law enforcement and emergency personnel. Must successfully pass a BCI/FBI background check.
RESPONSIBILITIES: Ensure a safe, supportive, and friendly atmosphere for students and staff. Assist with development and implementation of building security/emergency plan; Other duties as assigned.
SALARY: Placement on the Campus Security salary schedule.
TYPE OF EMPLOYMENT: Full time with benefits; Classified; 8 hours per day; 220-day calendar
