Children’s Assessment Specialist

Easter Seals West Georgia, Inc. is a private, non-profit organization. We provide high quality comprehensive therapeutic services that ensures effective interventions and activities for people with disabilities. We are looking for a Children’s Assessment Specialist to join our committed team. This is a full time, permanent position.

Responsibilities include:

· Conducts observations and completes developmental assessments.

· Identifies goals to target areas of growth and develops care plans.

· Coordinates and facilitates all care plan meetings.

· Advises staff on care plan goals and objectives and in reporting progress.

· Acts as resource for caregiving staff in planning activities and lesson plans designed to accomplish care plan goals.

· Provides family support and resources on the growth and development of their child.

· Provides guidance on an itinerant basis in the classrooms at least 2-3 hours / day.

Minimum qualifications include the following:

· Minimum bachelor’s degree from accredited college or university in administration and/or related field to special education or education.

· Experience working with people with disabilities.

· Experience with Case Management and Medicaid Regulations preferred.

· One year working in an administrative position.

· Working knowledge of community resources.

· Excellent interpersonal, organizational skill and communication skills.

· Must possess adequate typing and computer skills including knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word, along with other systems related to the program.

· Must have the ability to plan and manage resources and services with minimal supervision.
