PURPOSE OF POSITION:
The Data Entry Technician is responsible for ensuring the timely and accurate entry of data into Child Plus.
SUMMARY:
Under the direct supervision of the Data Coordinator, performs effective and efficient delivery of data entry as
related to children and families.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES(include but are not limited to):

Maintain a positive work atmosphere by acting and communicating in a manner so that you get along with
customers, clients, co-workers, and management
Attendance Standard
Maintains excellent punctuality and attendance
Fundamental: Day to Day Activities
Performs timely and accurate input of all pertinent information into ChildPlus or other designated data
management system. This information includes, but is not limited, to child and family information,
enrollment, attendance, health and medical data, nutrition, disability status, transportation, and other routine
and special service delivery data.
Produces and disseminates regular or special reports as requested
Prepares and maintains files of letters, reports, and others documents used to input data with ease of
retrieval
Implements and maintains a communication system that ensures the timely dissemination and receipt of
information for data management
Communicates with center staff as needed to facilitate high data integrity and timely input.
Ensures that all levels of staff are aware of and utilizing procedures that provide for the timely and
accurate submission of data
Monitoring/Compliance:
Conducts internal validation activity as needed to ensure accuracy of data in management system(s)
Maintains binders of back-up documents to support data entered
Provides consultation as requested, on interpretation of reports
Learning and Growth
Participates in all mandatory Easter Seals trainings to include pre-service, in-service and other educational
programs and trainings
Completes the minimum number of training hours required by DHR, OSR, Georgia Pre-K and Head Start
OTHER DUTIES:
Performs other duties as assigned by management.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS - Data Entry Technician (Compliance):
A High School Diploma or equivalent and one (1) year of data entry/word processing experience.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
Must possess the knowledge, skills and abilities needed to perform the assigned functions responsibly.
Must possess the ability to operate word processing software.
Must possess the ability to perform accurate and timely data entry functions.
Must possess excellent communications skills.
