Responsibilities:
Ingredient Preparation: Precisely measure and assemble ingredients for various dishes, desserts, and tea offerings.
Wash, peel, and chop fruits, vegetables, and herbs for both culinary and tea purposes.
Prepare tea blends and infusions, ensuring correct brewing times and temperatures.
Dessert Creation: Contribute to the creation of visually appealing and delicious desserts, including those that complement tea service.
Assemble and decorate pastries, cakes, and other sweet treats suitable for pairing with tea.
Coordinate with the tea specialist to ensure harmony between tea selections and desserts.
Tea Preparation: Brew and serve a variety of tea blends, considering customer preferences and recommended brewing methods.
Educate customers on different tea options and provide guidance on pairings with desserts.
Maintain tea equipment, such as kettles and infusers, ensuring they are clean and operational.
Recipe Adherence: Follow detailed recipes and instructions to maintain the quality and taste of menu items, including both desserts and teas.
Collaborate with chefs and tea specialists to understand specific requirements for each offering.
Kitchen Organization: Maintain a clean and organized workspace, including proper storage of ingredients for both food and tea.
Keep track of tea inventory levels and report any shortages to the kitchen manager.
Food Safety: Adhere to strict food safety and sanitation standards for both kitchen and tea preparation areas.
Monitor and record temperatures of refrigerators, freezers, and tea storage.
Communication and Teamwork: Collaborate with chefs, pastry chefs, and tea specialists to ensure a cohesive approach to food and tea service.
Communicate effectively regarding ingredient availability, preparation timelines, and tea offerings.
Efficiency and Time Management: Work efficiently to meet production schedules and ensure timely delivery of food items and tea service.
Prioritize tasks to maximize productivity during peak hours for both kitchen and tea preparation.
Quality Control: Conduct quality checks on prepared ingredients, finished products, and tea service to uphold high standards.
Report any inconsistencies or deviations from recipes to the kitchen supervisor or tea specialist.
