Eastern Research Group is Hiring an Electrical Technician Near Indian Head, MD
- Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems and equipment
- Troubleshoot electrical issues and provide solutions
- Read and interpret electrical schematics and blueprints
- Ensure compliance with all building and safety regulations as well as facility policies
- Collaborate with engineering and maintenance teams to install and maintain electrical systems
- Conduct preventative maintenance on electrical systems and equipment
- Maintain accurate records of activities, including work orders, preventive maintenance schedules, and equipment inventory
- Order and maintain inventory of supplies and spare parts
- Coordinate with contractors and vendors to perform repairs and maintenance on electrical equipment and systems
- Operate and maintain a bucket truck to complete the maintenance of cabling systems
- High school diploma or equivalent; completion of a vocational or technical school program in electrical technology or related field preferred
- Have or be able to obtain a DoD Secret Security Clearance
- Minimum of 5 years of professional experience
- Electrical personnel should have expert knowledge in lighting, power distribution, grounding/bonding, and lightning protection system requirements to support an energetic manufacturing environment
- Experience in the management of network cabling within an energetic manufacturing environment
- Qualified installer of all media of cabling and terminations to support telecommunication systems internal and external to facilities
- Familiarity with electrical codes, standards, and regulations
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
