Eastern New Mexico University is Hiring a Temporary Part-Time Student Engagement Liaison (2 Positions) Near Roswell, NM

Position Overview

POSITION SUMMARY:
This is a part-time position, that reports to the Director of the Learning Resource Center (LRC). The Student Engagement Liaison is responsible for providing excellent customer service to students seeking academic support. In addition, the successful candidate will assist with all functions of the LRC while supporting students.
CHARACTERISTIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Attend to the reception desk to assist and guide students to appropriate tutoring services.
  • Assist in coordinating tutoring sessions.
  • Become familiar with all tutoring processes and platforms.
  • Assist in the management of academic support supplies.
  • Assist in the creation of promotional materials.
  • Assist with promoting and recruiting tutors as needed.
  • Attend any check-in areas as assigned including student lounge, media, library, events, CSI, and/or GPS when needed.
  • Attend to study spaces in the library, labs, and any other student spaces in the LRC.
  • Support student events with set up, staff scheduling, and tear-down.
  • Assist with planning, organizing, and promoting LRC-sponsored activities and events.
  • Assist LRC personnel when needed.
  • Assist with promotional materials for events.
  • Assist with social media if needed.
  • Attend relevant training as assigned.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
Requirements

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

  • Associate degree or a combination of education and experience in a customer service field working with students or the public.
  • Commitment to robust student support and customer service.
  • Basic knowledge of computers, office technology, and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Some night work may be required.
  • Excellent written and communication skills.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Experience working at a Hispanic Serving Institution (HSI).
