Job Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated Wound Care Nurse to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will provide specialized care for patients with wounds, injuries, or post-operative incisions, ensuring proper healing and preventing infections.

Duties:
- Assessing and treating various types of wounds, including surgical wounds, pressure ulcers, and diabetic ulcers
- Developing and implementing individualized care plans for wound management
- Monitoring patients' progress and adjusting treatment plans as needed
- Educating patients and their families on wound care techniques and prevention strategies
- Collaborating with physicians and other healthcare professionals to optimize patient outcomes
- Maintaining accurate medical records related to wound care treatments

Requirements:
- Valid RN license with Wound Care Certification
- Proven experience in wound care management
- Strong knowledge of wound assessment, treatment modalities, and dressing techniques
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced healthcare environment
- Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) systems

Preferred Skills:
- Experience in catheter care
- Knowledge of workers' compensation laws related to wound care
- Background in behavioral health to address psychological aspects of wound healing
- Proficiency in administering injections for wound treatment
- Understanding of CT imaging for wound assessment
- Experience working with pediatric patients for pediatric wound care
- Skills in health coaching to promote patient compliance with treatment plans
- Ability to perform physical examinations related to wound assessment
- Familiarity with mammography for breast-related wound issues
- Knowledge of ophthalmology for eye-related wounds
