We are seeking a(an) Phlebotomist PRN for our team to ensure that we continue to provide all patients with high quality, efficient care. Did you get into our industry for these reasons? Job Summary and Qualifications

As a Phlebotomist at our facility you will be an integral part of our Laboratory team. We are a highly functioning team that supports many different departments and has a passion for providing the best patient care through compassionate, professional interactions and reliable testing. In this role:

  • You will collect blood samples and body fluids from patients for laboratory testing including blood cultures and arterial samples for blood gas analysis.
  • You will register specimens and orders tests in LIS and prepare/label samples for internal or external testing.
  • You will communicate lab test requests and results to appropriate staff, departments, and/or physicians.
  • You will collect and document urine drug screens requiring chain of custody and breath alcohol when required.
  • You will assist with in-services or training as assigned.
  • You will assist with administrative duties within the laboratory.

Qualifications:

  • Phlebotomy Certification required.
  • One year of phlebotomy experience or equivalent phlebotomy training program.
  • Excellent communication/people skills and problem solving skills.
  • Computer skills and filing/clerical skills.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy.
  • American Red Cross or American Heart Association Basic Life Support Course (BLS or BCLS) and Certification.
  • Valid driver’s license.
