Family Services Program Support

Position Summary:

As a Family Services Program Support Specialist, you'll work closely with our Salmon Family Services Coordinator to implement vital assistance programs for families and individuals. Your role will involve supporting participants, processing applications, and ensuring that our services reach those who need them most.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Assist in delivering services funded by various grants and initiatives, including CSBG programs and LIHEAP, ensuring that assistance reaches our community.
• Support donation efforts by accepting, organizing, and distributing food and household items to those in need.
• Guide participants through the application process, offering assistance and verifying documentation to ensure eligibility for programs.
• Maintain accurate records in compliance with regulations, with a keen eye for detail in data entry and documentation.
• Provide professional and courteous assistance to participants, colleagues, and visitors both in-person and over the phone.
• Contribute to the upkeep of our office space through general cleaning and organization tasks.
• Participate in outreach events to raise awareness of our programs and connect with those who may benefit from our services.
• Be prepared for occasional travel to outreach locations and flexibility in working hours as needed.

Qualification Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent (GED) is required.
• Previous experience in social or human services work is preferred but not required.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Windows applications is necessary for data entry and documentation tasks.
• Strong communication skills and a professional demeanor are essential for interacting with participants and colleagues.
• Attention to detail and the ability to work accurately in a fast-paced environment are key qualities for success in this role.
• Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and occasional work outside of regular business hours is important.

Schedule and Pay

• Part-time position, 8 to 15 hours per week
• Starting pay is $15.25 per hour
