We are currently seeking a professional to fill a position as an Assistant CNC Programmer to help the production for different commercial glass projects. Candidate must be capable of assisting the Production Manager with running multiple projects simultaneously. This person must be a problem-solver, have exceptional communication skills, organizational skills, some knowledge of construction processes, and a willingness to adapt and learn.

Requirements
Role Qualifications:
• Computer knowledge and efficiency.
• Experience in the construction industry preferred.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Be a flexible and adaptable team player.
• Ability to understand and follow directions.
• Ability to read shop drawings and specs.
Main Responsibilities:
· Reading and interpreting technical blueprints and design models
· Use CNC software to create cutting paths
· Configure programs to work with multiple types of CNC equipment
· Define the required cutting tools and machining parameters
· Document the manufacturing procedure properly to expedite the setup process
· Work with production team members to reduce manufacturing times
· Troubleshoot and resolve issues during manufacturing as they arise
· Ability to work independently and closely following directions
· Be able to use measurement tools to ensure products meet design specifications
· Capable of working as required to meet deadlines
· Meets all quality, quantity and established manufacturing practices to satisfy customer and regulatory requirements.
· Design the manufacturing process so that it may be completed in a safe manner without damage to the machines
Experience:
• Prefer background in metal construction products.
• Previous warehouse experience is a bonus.
• 5 years previous experience working in a manufacturing setting is required. Experience in a programmer role is preferred.
• Ability to set-up and operate standard machine shop equipment and some CNC equipment according to approved methods and standards.
• Troubleshoots equipment and corrects minor equipment malfunctions.

Job Type: Full-time. Pay: $16 hr. - $20 hr. Based on Experience.
Schedule:
• 8-hour shift.
• Day shift.
• Monday to Friday.
