This position would be working with high functioning individuals who are looking for assistance with the following:

• Community integration
• Budgeting
• Meal planning
• Appointment planning
• Household chores
• Routine building

This job can be part-time, full-time, 1st shift, or 2nd shift. The schedule for this position is fairly flexible and allows the employee to manage their work schedule around the needs of the individuals. This position currently requires some weekend availability.

*Necessary Qualifications: *

• At least 21 years of age
• 3 or more years as a licensed driver
• A valid CT Driver's license (if you are from out of state we will accept your license with an agreement to present your switched license within 90 days. This does not apply for RI residents)
• A registered and insured vehicle to drive to and from the individuals homes and to transport them as needed. *We reimburse you for vehicle mileage.
• A high school diploma or GED
• A clean background check, which will include The DDS Abuse & Neglect Registry
• The ability to use both computer and paper systems to record data and information
• The ability to meet the physical demands of personal care, this includes the ability to lift up to 30lbs as needed
• The ability to maintain a 2% or lower rate of absenteeism

A successful employee will gain the following:

• A Medication Administration Certificate through the state of CT
• Experience in the healthcare field
• A certification in: CPR, PMT and delegated nursing duties

Required duties:

• Documenting and collecting data that pertains to the individuals goals, physical health, and mental health as needed
• Supporting the individual with daily self-care activities, household activities, and life tasks
• Creating activities based on the individuals hobbies for community and socialization
• Assist in cooking and cleaning but also delegating and overseeing these tasks to the individual on your case
• Provide safe transportation to and from locations using your personal vehicle as needed (mileage reimbursement is offered)

The ideal candidate for this position is able to think outside of the box and is flexible in scheduling their working hours. We are looking for an employee who wants to share their hobbies and passions with the individuals to offer companionship and positive behavior modeling.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $17.25 per hour

Expected hours: 15 – 40 per week
