Easter Seals Tennessee is Hiring a Supported Employment Coordinator Near Lebanon, TN

Description

Summary:

The Supported Employment Coordinator is responsible for establishing and promoting an energetic and positive work environment while providing oversight of Supported Employment statewide. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: 

  • Create weekly supported employment staff schedule, adhering to budget in both expense and revenue.
  • Provide formal on-the-job training to supported employment staff.
  • Serve as a representative of Easter Seals TN in meetings, trainings, etc. with external agencies and individuals, to include PCSP and Circle of Support meetings in positive and professional manner at all times.
  • Teach and model “soft skills,” such as social skills and communication, to supported employment staff as well as those we support.
  • Act as a back-up to fill shifts in the event of an employee absence.
  • Ensure that each person supported receives the level of supervision needed, as specified in the PCSP. Also ensure services received and frequency of service is as indicated on the persons supported service authorization.
  • Maintain appropriate documentation and required program data and mentor Supported Employment staff regarding documentation.
  • Responsible for checking the daily documentation in Infoserv completed by Supported Employment staff on a daily basis.
  • Provide Exploration and Discovery Service, Vocational Habilitation services and other Supported Employment Services as assigned and complete the documentation within the specified time frames.
  • Conduct job readiness training and mock interviews as needed and provide training to supported employment staff to complete a well.
  • Build relationships with employers to develop customized employment opportunities for those seeking employment.
  • Administer medications in accordance with ESTN’s medication administration policy and procedures. 
  • Advocate for persons served.
  • Adhere to all federal, state, and local laws and ESTN policies regarding the safe operation of motor vehicles.
  • Comply with all Easter Seals Policies and Procedures. 
  • Ensure Person Centered practices and People First language are clearly communicated to all staff and implemented.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Supervisory:

This position does have supervisory responsibilities.

Requirements

Qualifications:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Education/Experience

  • Associate’s degree preferred or the equivalent experience in a social service or administrative role.
  • Experience in an administrative/coordination role with varied responsibilities having minimal oversight.
  • Two to Three years’ experience working with adults with developmental disabilities.
  • Knowledge of DIDD, ECF/Choices programs, policies, and procedures. 
  • Completion of ACRE Professional Employment Certification OR Certified Rehabilitation Counselor OR ACRE National Certificate of Achievement in Employment Services within first year of beginning position.
  • Experience managing multiple locations.

  • Experienced user of technology.
  • Ability to communicate clearly, professionally, and effectively both in written and verbal communication with all levels of staff as well as persons supported.
  • Model and promote a positive and professional environment. 
  • Ability to multi-task efficiently 
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Effective verbal and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to make decisions in the best interest of persons served.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations

  • Must be at least 21 years of age. 
  • Valid Tennessee Driver’s License, with an F endorsement, and a clear driving history. 
  • Must maintain liability and auto insurance. 
  • Must maintain CPR and/or First Aid Certification and meet all DIDD and agency training requirements.
