East West is Hiring a Pre-Field Equipping Program Specialist Near Plano, TX

The Pre-field Equipping Program (PrEP) Specialist will work with appropriate key stakeholders at East-West to ensure all new field staff are adequately prepared for successful deployment, healthy personal growth, and fruitful ministry. The PrEP Specialist will assess both general and particular needs for all new field staff members' competencies appropriate for the field/team situation. In consultation with the supervisor of the new staff member, they will also develop an equipping program for new staff members to gain identified competencies. The specialist will track and report the new staff member's progress and his/her progress to the new staff member’s supervisor on a regular basis. The PrEP Specialist will take part in any training (external or internal to East-West) necessary to fulfill the position requirements. This position is responsible for ensuring that all training, plans, competencies, programs, and mentoring clearly align with East-West Vision, Mission, and Values.

As an ambassador of faith in Christ and rooted in Biblical principles, the PrEP Specialist will actively minister to others in East-West, ministry partners, and the community at large in a manner that exhibits Christ-character through personal and corporate spiritual disciplines.

Key Results

  • Ensure all new field staff are adequately prepared for successful deployment and healthy personal growth and fruitful ministry of healthy disciples reproducing healthy churches..
  • Track the process and regularly communicate with key stakeholders.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Assess, design/develop, implement, and evaluate individual PrEP plans
  • Assist in planning and implementation of pre-field training events, as assigned
  • Assist in all planning, development, and reporting for the Pre-field Equipping team
  • Develop and maintain a network of personal support

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor degree required, preferably within discipline
  • Trained biblically and theologically, advanced theological training preferred
  • 3-5 years of experience working in a similar role preferred
  • At least 3 or more years experience as an internationally deployed missions worker, required
  • Experience as a movement practitioner
  • Experienced in sharing their faith with a clear, concise gospel message
  • Experienced in effectively discipling new followers of Jesus
  • Uphold a close and growing relationship with Jesus Christ
  • Demonstrates a healthy, growing spiritual life, including a servant attitude toward leadership responsibilities
  • A baptized believer of Jesus Christ
  • High commitment to, and practices, regular prayer and time in the Word
  • Faithful member of a local church

  • Ability to raise personal support as well as develop and manage personal ministry budget
  • Demonstrates teaching, leadership, and shepherding skills
  • Ability to listen well to problems and offer help and solutions
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including proficiency in grammar and spelling
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, ability to handle sensitive situations with confidentiality, poise, and tact
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills, including proficiency in evaluating and prioritizing issues
  • Ability to work well with others in a team environment
  • Proficiency in Google Workspace and other standard office software
  • Flexibility to quickly respond to changing situations in order to meet business needs, reprioritizing work as necessary
  • Ability to assess and implement improvements
