The Next Gen College Mobilizer will work with the Director of College Mobilization to mobilize, disciple, and facilitate North American college students and young adults toward partnership through short-term mission teams (STMT), as well as pre and post STMT mobilization for campus disciple-making movements, internships and long-term opportunities. They will collaborate with the Mobilization staff and North America Field team. They will work closely with the Director of College Mobilization to advance ministry partnerships. This position is responsible for playing their part to achieve the bigger mission of East-West and for ensuring that all position activities are clearly aligned with East-West Ministries Vision, Mission, Values, Statement of Faith, and Biblical principles.

This is a fully support-raised position.

A day in the life of the College Mobilizer

• Mobilize college student/young adults groups and individuals for participation in various EW ministries
  • Focus on going “broader and deeper” with new and existing campus partners and college students within a targeted geographic area and within your network of contacts
  • Meet with new and existing partners on a weekly basis
  • Have a presence on college campuses and share the vision/mission of East-West NEXT Teams
• Catalyze campus disciple making movements with college students. Lead groups, train disciple-makers and launch them to make disciples.
• Lead / Coordinate 4-6 NEXT Teams per year. The Goal is to mobilize 3 or more college/young adult teams. As a part of the Next Generation Department, also available, where schedule allows, to help lead high school teams.
• Assist Director of Next Generation Missions in projects and planning as requested
• Attend meetings, retreats and conferences as requested
• Develop and maintain network of personal support
• Lead, attend, and/or contribute to East-West sponsored spiritual formation activities such as Abide, ReGathering, Chapel, prayer times, corporate devotionals, and perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Uphold a close and growing relationship with Jesus Christ
• A baptized believer of Jesus Christ
• High commitment to, and practices, regular prayer and time in the Word
• Faithful member of a local church
• Experienced in sharing his/her faith with a clear, concise gospel message
• Experienced in effectively discipling new followers of Jesus, preferred
• BA degree preferred
• Experienced in cross-cultural ministry, preferred
