POSITION: Reference & User Services Librarian

DESCRIPTION: East Texas Baptist University invites applications for a full-time, career-track position Reference & User Services Librarian. The position begins Fall 2023 and will include reference and library instruction. The successful candidate will be required to teach library instruction for undergraduate and graduate students across a variety of disciplines, provide user-centered reference services, and participate as a faculty member of East Texas Baptist University.

QUALIFICATIONS: ETBU seeks a qualified individual with a record of excellence and two or more years of experience in public services including reference and library instruction along with a commitment to the pedagogies of active student learning. Strong candidates should have knowledge of the ACRL Framework for Information Literacy. Experience in an academic library is preferred. Candidates must also have a strong commitment to undergraduate education. Teaching experience in Higher Education and the potential to continually develop as an instruction librarian are essential. ETBU seeks Christian faculty who are committed to the integration of faith in learning and are willing to invest in the university, local church, and regional community.

EDUCATION: MLS (or its equivalent) from an ALA-Accredited program. Preference will be given to candidates with backgrounds in reference and library instruction, and related fields.
