East Tennessee Behavioral Health is Hiring an ECT Nurse Supervisor Near Knoxville, TN
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Provide education about the ECT procedure and obtain a level of understanding from the patient and family.
Work within the treatment team to provide pre-treatment assessment, treatment monitoring and post-anesthesia recovery management for patients and assure the smooth flow of patients through the ECT process.
Participate in development and evaluation of nursing practices provided in the clinical setting and the overall function of the clinical area including the ECT Suite.
Use multiple data sources to determine actual/potential health issues, functional status and safety concerns.
Communicate patient’s condition and need for altered care with treatment team.
Establish a therapeutic alliance with assigned patients, initiates and continues pulse oximetry, oxygen saturation and EKG monitoring throughout treatment and recovery.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/SKILL REQUIREMENTS:
Graduation from an accredited school of nursing required.
Previous Psych experience preferred.
LICENSES/DESIGNATIONS/CERTIFICATIONS:
Current RN License as required by state.
Current ACLS certification and Current IV Certification required.
CPR and de-escalation and restraint certification required (training available upon hire and offered by facility).
First aid may be required based on state or facility requirements.
