Job Title: Registered Medication Aide (RMA)
Job Summary:
As a Registered Med Aide (RMA) in our clients senior living facility, you will be responsible for providing medications to residents under the supervision of licensed nursing staff. Your primary duty will be to ensure the comfort, safety, and well-being of our clients residents by assisting them with medication administration and implementing care plans tailored to their individual needs.
Responsibilities:
  • Preparing and administering medications to residents on assisted living and memory care floors
  • Supervising medication resident self-administration or performing medication reminders
  • Accessing Medication Administration Record (MAR) to verify the right person, drug, dose, route, and time against the resident's record
  • Appropriately documenting vital signs, interventions, or other pertinent data related to medication administration
  • Maintaining resident confidentiality
  • Reporting any issues to the supervising nurse
  • Assisting residents with ADLs
Qualifications:
  • Current registration as a medication aide (RMA) in the state of employment.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 1 year of prior experience in a healthcare setting, preferably with elderly populations.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Compassionate and patient-oriented attitude.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Physical ability to lift and move residents, as well as stand for long periods and perform repetitive tasks.
  • Basic understanding of medical terminology and procedures.
