Position Title: Dietary Manager
Overview: The Dietary Manager is responsible for overseeing food service activities in the Health Center and providing the level of supervision necessary to ensure the courteous and efficient service of quality and nutritious foods. The Dietary Manager works closely with the Certified Dietician in delivering exceptional meals for all meal periods while exceeding resident expectations.
Essential Job Functions:

• Oversees and coordinates work of associates in the health center dining venues engaged in serving residents to ensure adherence to service and quality standards.
• Maintains the appearance, cleanliness and service of facility at or above Health Department standards through routine cleaning schedules.
• Monitors Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point (HACCP) to ensure all Federal and State regulations are followed and in compliance.
• Oversees and manages all equipment to ensure everything is working safely and properly.
• Develops work assignments for associates in the Assisted Living and Memory Support dining venues and spot checks regularly to ensure standards are being met.
• Trains associates on residents' dietary needs and proper service standards.
• Ensures that residents' meal preferences or special requests are satisfied whenever possible.
• Collects and incorporates associate and resident feedback regarding special events and monthly Birthday Nights.
• Measures satisfaction levels among healthcare residents daily at each meal by walk-thru and conversations with residents.
• Tracks all Residents' meals in the Point of Sale (POS) system.
• Assists the Chef in ordering food and supplies for the entire Food and Beverage Department.
• Assists the Dining Room Supervisor in the scheduling of associates for the Assisted Living and Memory Support dining venues.
• Assists Certified Dietician in developing all menus for healthcare residents assessing preferences and nutritional needs.
• Participates in cost control measures using time, material and equipment properly to eliminate waste and unnecessary expense.

You Have:

• High School diploma or equivalent.Bachelor's degree preferred with courses in hospitality management or dining room operations.
• A minimum of two years supervisory experience in food service operations of health care institutions.
• Certified Dietary Manager preferred.
