This position will assist students with location and use of media center materials. Maintain and organize periodicals and assist in controlling status of books in circulation; check on overdue books. Generate overdue and other computerized reports.

Duties may include but not be limited to:

• Filing, shelving, withdrawing, maintaining and distributing Media Center Books.
• Handling all materials and supplies for Media Center and for Audio-Visual Equipment.
• Maintain records, inventory, overdue notices and forms.
• Set up bulletin boards and displays.
• Assist with daily supervision as deemed necessary by supervisor.
• Assist with special projects such as book fairs, contests, and read-a-thons.
• Assist with computer, listening centers and electronic bookshelf (optional duty by building).
• Set up, prepare and assist with instruction of small groups under the direction of the teacher (optional duty by building).
• Other clerical duties as needed.
• Supervise the computer center (optional duty by building).
• Read stores to various groups of students (optional duty by building).
• Assist with library skills as well as using them to locate resource materials for teachers and students.
• Repair, order and inventory all of library material.
• Manage Reading Counts program (optional duty by building).
• Other duties assigned by the supervisor/principal
