Overview

East Penn is seeking a Manufacturing Accounting Analyst who will be responsible in assisting with the capital budgeting process, and operational profitability and risk assessments. The position will also assist with other tax, finance and cost accounting related projects and reporting.

Responsibilities

• Handle the day-to-day operations of the capital budget cycle - publishing monthly updates, processing approved requests, working with division heads on forecasts and projecting year-end figures.
• Assists project managers with larger projects to track their costs and project number management.

• Supports in performing return on investment/cost-benefit analysis for operations, engineering, and continuous improvement.
• Assists with numerous costs & profitability measures and risk assessment.
• Handles the day-to-day requests for information related to Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE), Daily Management Boards (DMBs), Scrap Costing Information, and etc.
• Assists in preparing monthly cost statements for manufacturing & distribution centers.
• Assists in preparing weekly production metrics.
• Assists with cyclical audits of numerous functions, processes, areas, etc.
• Aids in the research & development tax credit optimization program.
• Assists the finance department to provide documents as requested for tax and financial audits.
• May assist with other finance and cost accounting related projects as instructed.
• Operates various office equipment - e.g. computer, copier, etc.
• Other duties as requested.

Qualifications

Experience & Qualifications

• 1-2 years of financial experience (Preferred, but not required)
• A working knowledge of Word, Excel, Outlook (Microsoft Office Suite products) and standard office equipment

Education/Certification

Bachelor Degree in Finance or Accounting
