Overview

East Penn is seeking a Technical Support Engineer to provide technical support to internal sales, marketing, customers, and the industry.

Responsibilities

Interact with sales, quality, manufacturing, suppliers, and customers.

Verify battery sizing and battery application.

Provide technical presentations to internal sales and customers.

Support marketing regarding technical documentation.

Assist in new product development.

Assist in field study or other related projects.

Understanding of industry standards.

Participate in contract reviews.

Participate in development of industry standards.

Travel when necessary for related conferences, professional organizations, or customer relations.

Diffuse customer complaints.

Educate sales, customer service, and customers of new or changed products.

Ensure high quality of work.

*Maintains regular attendance.Performs other duties as requested.Responsible for producing a high quality product.Responsible for proper hygiene, housekeeping, and safety practices.*These tasks are considered essential elements of the job.

Qualifications

Education & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in a Science or Engineering field or equivalent experience is required
• 3 years of East Penn experience or relevant outside experience
• General knowledge of electrical circuits and chemistry

Skills & Competencies

Required:

• Computer literate including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint
• Mathematical skills
• Communication skills

Preferred:

• Organized
• Knowledge of batteries and battery applications
